Box Cricket League (BCL) is a 10 overs cricket tournament reality show where different franchise teams consisting of TV actors compete for the Box Cricket League title. The tournament First season started in 2014 The first edition is the BCL-1 held in 2014 was produced by Ekta Kapoor and Marinating Films. Instead of typical cricket, this is a reality show with eight teams where instead of cricket players, Indian Television Actors and Actress would compete against each other. 150 such actors were selected by Ekta Kapoor and the conceptualizers Sunny Arora and Anand Mishra. The tournament was air on Sony Entertainment Television (India).This tournament is a cricket tournament plus a reality show whereby not only on ground activities and cricket matches are broadcast, but the players practicing and their room discussions and strategy discussions are also telecast. In this tournament the girls are not mere cheer leaders but would also be a part of the team playing along with the male players.
